Happy Wednesday, fellow beer tasters! Beer #3 certainly tastes like Christmas and the can art certainly looks like Christmas. This ale is loaded with spices and flavor. We both found it to be a bit on the sweet side but it is a very good beer and is as advertised on the can. It would be a one and done drink for both of us but we enjoyed it very much. Wayne gives this beer a 3.5 mug rating since it is an 8% ABV but would otherwise rate this one 3 mugs. Heather gives it a solid 3 mug rating. Cheers!

I love the festive can! I really enjoyed this, it’s a great holiday beer! That’s what is fun about this brewstravaganza, trying new beers and enjoying the different flavors and varieties. A solid 3.5 from mugs.

Becca- ⭐️⭐️ 1/2. If you ask me, if you like holiday breads, mulled cider/wine, or spiced winter desserts — 2XMAS is absolutely worth trying. It definitely give a punch of gingerbread which is a nice treat. Not so sure I could drink multiple of these but the 8% makes having just one- plenty!

Chris- ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2. First sip? Christmas punched me in the face—in a good but slightly alarming way. Think cinnamon, clove, orange peel, and maybe the faint regret of last year’s holiday spending. It’s bold, it’s festive, and it absolutely refuses to apologize for any of it.

As the glass disappears, the spices mellow into a warm, cozy vibe—like a holiday sweater that’s endearingly ugly but weirdly comfortable. It is a bit much at times, like your aunt who insists on caroling at 7 a.m., but hey, ‘tis the season.

Verdict:
A delightfully over-the-top holiday brew that brings more Christmas spirit than a Hallmark marathon—just not something I’d drink outside of December unless accidentally.

I’m a little behind on the first two days but I’ll catch up, sorry! Everything about this beer is festive and I really like it! I may second guess or regret this comment but hear me out…what if it was a warm carbonated beverage? I like the 8%. I’ll give it a 3.75 mug. Cheers!

The 2xmas spiced double ale is a very unique tasting beer. I found it surprising how easily I could identify each of the many flavors that are packed into this can. This beer does taste christmas-y and would pair well with some sweets. Shoutout Southern Tier, this is the 16th beer that I’ve had of theirs.

3.5 🍺

This beer was a hit on the sniffer. With every sip comes a powerful cinnamon/cardamom/clove/ginger scent that I enjoyed a lot. As for the taste it was very drinkable and lighter than what I was expecting considering the strong aroma. I was also pleased with the 8% abv as it makes it a worthwhile drink or two to make you feel good. Overall I give this beer a 4.1 out 5.0 Mugs. Cheers! 🍻

First hit was a load of spice, but the follow through was a nuance of smooth flavor. Presents itself as a high end snooty beer…a wine like elegance, After that first punch, it was great, the spice died down as the level of beer did! 3.5 mugs, I was so surprised it was so different than I expected! I’m truly enjoying this advent, I will say can art didn’t do the elegance of this beer justice. The pictures presenting the beers are freaking awesome Tyler! Caleb our Bourbon man, gave us a beer with a Bourbon hug!!!!

What are the odds to kick off the Brewstravaganza with three amber colored beers? Margie is a fan of the festive artwork and taste – 4 mugs. Ron experienced a strong gingerbread nose from the ale. First taste was more fig, then each subsequent swig lead to a potpourri of flavors across the taste buds. 3 mugs.

Ho, Ho, Ho it is beer number 3 and I really like that it had 8% abv, that is always a plus. You could really taste the orange peel and ginger in this beer . That being said I would drink another one if it was bought for me, so I would give this one 2.5 mugs. Now I really loved the can art, and now thinking about that I would bump this up to 3 mugs. Can art definitely helps. Great choice, love trying new beers.

The first sip tasted like Christmas punched you in the face, in a good way. You can really smell and taste the cinnamon and spices. A solid, easy-to-drink, festive, Christmas double ale

4 / 5 Mugs.

Might be the first beer I have had that has fig paste listed as an ingredient haha! This festive beer got better and better the more I drank probably thanks to the 8.0 abv but also the holiday spice. I am a sucker for seasonal beers and cloves! 3.5 mugs from me!

Christmas in a glass is how I would describe this beer. A perfect night cap to sip on while watching The Polar Express with the family before bed. The heavy dose of spices and cloves warms the belly on a cool night. I taste cinnamon, cardamom, and malt. The can art was excellent for the holiday season. Reading more about Southern Tier and seeing the way they innovate and create their beers is very intriguing. It definitely comes through with this beer. I give this a 3.5 on the mug scale!

I’m really enjoying reading all of the comments and seeing all of the pictures and videos from all of you enjoying the beers! With that I will say cheers my friends! 🍻🎅

Enjoying this one at 10:44 pm bc I just got home from an away basketball game. This was our contribution but neither Maria nor I have had it before. This was straight Christmas fruit cake for me, which I do enjoy. Maria liked it too. 3/5 mugs for her and 4/5 for me. Cheers!

Gives a bit of a gingerbread feel to the taste which I love! Cant really even tell it’s 8% which makes it even better! I’d give it 3 mugs!
