2025--BEER #21: Storm King (Victory Brewing Co.)

Thank you to Tyler Baker (yes, I know its me) for providing beer number 21 of Bearded Baker Brewstravaganza. This is the second beer in the advent from Victory Brewing Company. Storm King comes in strong as a 9.1% ABV imperial stout. A thunderous hop presence mixed with massive espresso and dark chocolate flavors give this imperial stout its superb taste. Enjoy this for the late wrapping nights as we are only a few days away from Christmas!

Loving Storm King’s can art! Maddy & Brandon are tasting with us today. Wayne loves stouts and loved this beer and rates it 4.5 mugs. Maddy and Brandon are not stout fans so rating this one 1 mug. Cheers!!

Love this can!! Perfect for this beer! I don’t typically drink stouts but I do like some of them. What I taste in this beer is really dark chocolate and I love that! This is 4 mugs from me. Cheers to the last minute Christmas shopping!

Storm King, brought the game, whoooo loved this one? I’ve never ordered a Stout when going out, I’ve only ever enjoyed these during Advent, the great dark chocolate taste accented with expresso, tasted great! The can art was spot on, just as strong as the beer! 4.; on the mug scale! I enjoyed this!

I love a dark beer this time of the year but I think it was the bitter coffee flavor or the high ABV that threw me off so I had Chris finish it . He doesn’t normally like dark beers but gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 where are I’m coming in at ⭐️⭐️.75 just for the taste I couldn’t shake. This can art was really cool I love the gold pops!

I am not a fan of stouts at all, but for some reason this year they are growing on me. I could have maybe 1 and then switch over to something else. This one has a strong coffee flavor to me. I like the can art too! I’lol give this 3 mugs.

The can art has a bold black finish fitting for a strong imperial stout. Lightning visuals in the background align with the Storm King name. Surprisingly we're smelling a berry aroma on the nose. Too strong for Margie, she felt more Victory at the top of the Mt. Storm King trail in Olympia National Park. Ron is tasting a complex flavor of expresso, dark chocolate with a tad of bitterness on the finish. 3.5 mugs.

The cool can art with the gold and lightning is what really captured me when selecting this beer. As a guy that loves coffee and chocolate, I decided to give this beer a guy! As a limited release, this imperial stout impressed me. I loved the bitter espresso flavor and smooth drinkablity with this beer. I’m giving the 4.5 mugs!

Ho, Ho, Ho well I am drinking my third beer for the night to catch up. I was worried when I saw a stout, I am not a fan, would not get them at a bar. Well because of the advent calendar I get to try these beers and I am surprised I liked this beer. I liked the coffee taste. I also, liked the 9.1 ABV . As for the can art , if it wasn’t Christmas it was nice, but it is Christmas so it was not a good one to me. I will give this one a 3.5 on the mug scale.

Espresso ✅ Dark Chocolate ✅Hops✅ This beer is one I’d definitely drink again! Love a good victory brewing beer and this was actually the first stout I have had from them. Delicious especially around this time of year! Can art is up there with my favorite of the advent very unique and very fitting for the color of the pour! 4.5 mugs from me!

Caleb says he cannot accurately give his thoughts on this beer because he isn’t feeling well and his taste buds are compromised. He gave it 2 mugs, but was confident he’d like it better if he was healthy. I tried my best to like this beer because the can art was stunning! However, I’m giving it 1 mug. All I could taste was the bitter aftertaste of coffee that I do not like. I still had a blast getting to try it out!

A nice dark color, and very cool can, this stout tastes like winter dessert, with hints of coffee and chocolate, and still tastes like a beer.

The owl on the storm king can is staring right into your soul.

If there is any brewery I would trust to deliver, it would be VICTORY.

The can is elite. The beer is not far behind. An excellent stout with great taste and a full body. Poured perfectly into a frozen mug. Fuhgetaboutitttt 🤌🏼

I thought this beer was okay. Not my favorite stout but not the worst either. I thought the can was cool but as far as the flavor I think there’s a handful of other stouts that are superior. It does get some bonus points for being 9.1%.
