2025--BEER #14: Linebacker BRU (new trail Brewing Co.)

Thank you to Char for beer number 14 in the advent! Linebacker BRU is a hazy IPA brewed solely with Citra hops for a taste filled with citrus. This 5.5% beer was originally brewed exclusively for Beaver Stadium to celebrate the Nittany Lions. Seeing as it is NFL week 15 on this football Sunday, be sure to enjoy this football inspired hazy IPA with your friends and family!

New Trail Brewing Company was founded in 2018 out of Williamsport, PA by friends Dave, Charles, Tony, and Mike. Recognized as one of the fastest growing breweries in 2022, you'll be sure to find these outdoor-inspired beers on a shelf or on draught near you!

We both liked Linebacker Bru and thought it was a tasty IPA! The can art was cleverly sports-themed to match the name. Wayne prefers his IPA's with a little more kick so he rates this one 3 mugs. Heather thought this was an easy drinker and rates it 4 mugs. We are both thankful that we were able to hang out with our sweet grandson and son-in-law for a bit today!

I’m a big new trail fan and I haven’t had this one until now. I picked it because I’m an IPA fan and I don’t like them to be too heavy AND it was football themed 😊🏈 It’s actually delicious! I taste a juicy hazy easy drinking beer! 4.5 mugs. Christmas is coming fast!🎄

Ho, Ho, Ho nothing like a very good Hazy IPA to enjoy on a cold sunday night in central PA. Wish the beer had a higher than 5.5 ABV but it was a great tasting beer, would love to have about 4 or 5 of these tonight. Now for the can art not on the Christmas theme and I am not a Penn state fan either so I was going to give 4 mugs but because of the can, I am dropping it to a 3.5.

Thanks Char, feeling special to drink Linebacker BRU without traveling to Beaver Stadium. Can art appears plain until looking closer under the light a playbook drawing displays like a hologram. Citrus forward flavor, solid beer as expected from New Trail. 3.5 mugs

First sip, I knew my wife would love this beer. Hazy and creamy, I enjoyed this fine selection! Can art was real to the name! This beer was a 4.2 on the mug scale! Good multi-drinker

A delicious beer for the stadium! Easy to drink hazy IPA with a little zing of citrus. Could definitely drink of few of these while tailgating or start the day off right with a brunch beer! I give this 4 mugs!

A nice light hazy beer not too over powering of a haziness in terms of a burning aftertaste. Love a good crisp citrus ipa! Not too sure about the can art though…. Jk Trey 😳…. 4 mugs from me

Linebacker BRU was easy to drink and had the classic hazy IPA taste of citra hops. It sort of reminds of a lighter version of Broken Heels.

I was very happy with this. Super smooth to go down and wish I had another one! Doesn’t hurt that it is a PSU related thing. 4 stars from me!

Still catching up. Never had this one before but it’s a very good hazy with lots of taste. And with it being a PSU can, I like it even more! 4 mugs

We have this one 5/5 🍺 just for being a PSU beer! Overall, the taste was solid, but not anything different enough to stand out. Loved being able to support PSU with this one.
