Thank you Nick for beer number 11 of the advent! Back to Bitter is a West Coast Style IPA from Creature Comfort Brewing Company. This beer is 7.1% ABV has a piney citrus flavor as it is dry hop forward with a bitter bite. Bitter is simply only in the name and flavor of this beer as the Christmas spirit is alive.

Creature Comfort Brewing Company opened in 2014 and is located in Athens, GA. Their mission is to give back, help local communities, and produce delicious tasting beers.

I’m thankful today for being Not Bad Ronald and evading the wrath of Krampus. Close call! Looking forward to this beverage, new brewery for me plus intrigued by the new school hopping techniques. Can art be a mysterious statement – king of hop but what kind? Nice pour, sniffing pear and pineapple notes. First taste is satisfying. So is the second. Nice lacing on glass. Nick picked a winner in my mind. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

I really liked this IPA. It was smooth and had a hint of fruit: I tasted a bit of pineapple. Very drinkable and a really nice color too.

4 / 5 Mugs

This is a delicious IPA. And as the description says, I taste both fruit and pine! I love the creative can art! I give this 4.5 mugs, cheers!

Ho, Ho, Ho two weeks from today we will be have our last beer of the advent beer exchange, damn it. Back to bitter was good beer but it had too much of the piney taste for me. But I love trying new beers . The 7.1 ABVis plus if you drink a beer that might not be your favorite. I will say the can art was awesome and worked well so I could add a fourth King bringing Baby Jesus a gift, what is better that getting a beer. God is good. 2.5 mugs for beer but 4 stars for the can art.

The crown on the king hop was very fitting for this beer since it is our favorite beer so far! Maddy knew this would be a winner for her since piney + IPA is her favorite word combo when it comes to beer. This was just that plus a nice refreshing element with the touch of citrus. Brandon notes that the nice color of the pour brings out the beauty of the power T on the pint glass. This brewery is also new to us and it was a great first impression! We wish we had two of these and would definitely buy some for the home beer fridge. 5🍺 from Maddy, 4.2🍺 from Brandon!

Watching Thursday Night Football two days removed from my wife getting her appendix removed. This is what I needed. Might be my favorite beer of the advent so far. I can definitely taste the fruit and no discomforting aftertaste. 4.5 mug!

While I might be biased, it also might be true that this is the best beer of the month so far. When I think of my ideal IPA, Perpetual has always been my baseline. That being said, Back To Bitter rivals everything I like about Perpetual. It is hoppy, bitter, and the perfect ABV. Being from Georgia, Creature Comforts can coexist with Tröegs as having the best IPA in their respective states.

4.5 🍺

This beer certainly deserves a crown as noted on the can. Love this brewery’s mission of giving back. Aroma is wonderful and so is the flavor! This is Heather’s “perfect” beer choice with a nice piney citrus refreshing bite. She rates it 5 mugs on the scale and Wayne rates it 4.5 only because he was wanting even a bit more flavor. We really enjoyed this one. Delicious!

Nice smooth IPA, a safe 7.1ABV, says drink many! Nice color, great taste! Can art was great, I didn’t see a hop, I saw a beard! 😊 4.3 mugs on this fine beer!

Delicious IPA! With a name like Back to Bitter I was expecting a big bite, but it was surprisingly subtle (in a good way). This beer is smooth and very drinkable. Can was outstanding. Loved the crown and possible nod to Biggie. 4.5 mugs from me. This is a beer that I could keep in regular rotation with Perpetual from Troegs, Broken Heels from New Trail, and Juice Juicy from Ever Grain. I’m thankful that there are only a few days left of school until Christmas break!

I enjoyed this one a lot! It was very smooth and packed a lot of flavor too it. Tastes like a perpetual to me which is one of my favorite IPA’s. 4.2 mugs!

This bitter IPA was one Caleb enjoyed, but Maria did not. I finished the pour, but it made my mouth feel funny with each sip. I appreciated the can and being part of the advent, but this one wasn’t for me. Caleb gave it 2.5 mugs.
