2024--BEER #7: Imperial Head Hunter (Fat head's BREWery)

Thank you Wayne for beer #7 of the Brewstravaganza! Imperial Head Hunter (9.5%) is double IPA and our second beer from Fat Head's Brewery out of Ohio. This hop-tastic beer takes on a flavor profile of pine, grapefruit, citrus, and pineapple. It is the more mature version of Fat Head's staple beer, Head Hunter IPA, as it jumps up to 9.5% ABV. Hops is word for drinking this tasty treat this weekend!

Thankful for a brother in law who appreciates craft beer, and a great friend. I’ve been called fat head which over time start to appreciate, humbly. Nothing unique about can art. Just straight out fat head call to chill out and have a beer! Margie doesn’t like IPA as everything tastes like ass to her so not counting commentary. Ron is all in. 5 mugs

I really liked when I saw it was 9.5, love those beers. Had a great taste and it is one I HOPE I would have another one at home. Great beer to watch the evening football games with.

I love high % beers. Only thing is with imperials I find myself fighting to finish it rather than enjoying to the last drop. Nonetheless a solid beer overall and I am a fan of the OG head hunter. 2.5/5 🍺

Great brewer can art, matches perfect. Excellent IPA , love the hoppy taste! I could drink many! 4/5 mugs, I like Wayne being loyal to his personal Brewer!

I need this IPA to calm my nerves for this PSU game. Great taste, good hops. Our group likes heavy hitter %’s and I’m here for it. 4 mugs - cheers!

I said before, fat heads brings fond memories for me since Tyler played football at Duquesne. This beer was good, a little strong for me but liked it more as I drank it😊3.5 of 5 beers, cheers!

I like Fat Heads Brewery. I like the Hoppy taste but especially like 9.5 % I’m giving this beer a 3.5 🍺

West coast style is my absolute favorite style of IPA! This imperial doesn’t pull any punches in terms of being hop forward! Well deserving of a 9.5 abv and strong finish! Enjoyed this one but not sure how many I could handle after one…4 mugs 🍺🍺🍺🍺

This one packs a punch! 9.5 and very hoppy! I enjoyed it as a way to start my Saturday night! This is as IPA as it can get with the bitterness and flavor profile. I give this 4🍺s.

The can art was pretty cool typical fathead style. Have not quite mastered the taste for an IPA, I was interested to see the flavor for this woman with a pineapple and grapefruit citrus mixed with a heavy hops. 2.5🍺 for me. 🍍🎄
