Deck the halls with beers and holly! Jason delivered us this delicious Winter ale on Brewstravaganza day #5. Christmas Ale (7.5%) is a winter ale from Great Lake Brewing Company. This holiday classic claims a flavor profile filled with ginger, cinnamon, and honey and blended with Mt. Hood and Cascade hops. This great beer is perfect for sipping in front of the fireplace enjoying this festive season. Great Lakes Brewing Company first opened in 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio. The brewery first debuted the Christmas Ale in 1992 and has continued to serve over 14 states in the neighboring area for over 35 years.

This was a delicious Christmas ale! Very drinkable, not too sweet and for the second time I’m saying it’s better than Mad Elf which is our local comparison. I give it 4🍻s, cheers! Only 20 days left🎄😳

This was a delicious Christmas ale. Enjoyed the flavor and was very easy to drink. I really like the can art, very seasonal. I would give this beer 3.5 mugs. Great choice Jason.

Really enjoyed this one. Nothing overly complex. Just good ale and nostalgic can art. 4/5 mugs!

Solid choice! Never had this Christmas Ale but would definitely go out and get this one. Very easy to drink and can taste both the cinnamon and honey. I would give this one 4 mugs. Thanks Jason!

Extremely festive can art, a solid, bit spicy flavor, I enjoyed with pretzels and cheese. Great holiday Ale, beers like this are broadening my beer tastes, making me more “ADVENT”urous! 3/5 on our mug scale!

A very festive beer! Almost reminds me of a smoother, lighter Mad Elf. 3.75🍺

Thankful for day 315 of retirement and the 10 dollar lunch special at Snitz Creek Brewery in Campbelltown (smash burger, fries and draft of choice). Really diggin’ the can art blue green color hues. Beautiful Christmas ale color on pour, nice note of ginger but the taste buds experiencing a good blend of all the ingredients. Christmas Ale went down like the Edmund Fitzgerald (another Great Lakes beer), but in a good way. 4 mugs.

A surprisingly lighter Christmas Ale where you could taste all the ingredients clearly. An easy sipper with a pleasant abv! 3 mugs from me! 🎄🍺🎅🏼

One of my favorite parts of the beer advent is being able to try new beers. The Christmas Ale was a first for me. Very easy to drink, end of the day beer. I taste the ginger and cinnamon and Becca has piqued my interest in trying it next time with a cinnamon rimmed glass, that sounds delicious! 3.5 🍺s from me!

PS congrats on the retirement Ron!
