When Christmas in July meets Christmas in December. Thank you Trent for this tropical treat to try to warm up a rather chilly day. Pineapple Crushin' It (8%) is a double IPA from Cape May Brewing Company. This beer is best served with family and friends to help brighten up the day. The beer is brewed with Sabro hops to help bring out the fresh pineapple juice flavor. Cape May Brewing Company was founded in 2011 and is located in Cape May, NJ. The brewery has a large taproom to enjoy a number of their beers and in the Summer months there is a relaxing outdoor Brewtanical Garden to sip the day away. The proudly serve cans and drafts throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Even though this beer had a Strong pineapple taste to it, it wasn’t bad. I drank it rather quickly, simply because I felt there was a lot of a juicy taste in it.
This would be a good beer in the summer sitting on the beach.
I’m only going to rank this one 2.5 🍺 only because this time of the year.

The fruity taste reminds me of sitting by the pool on a hot summer day. I give it a 4.0

Cheers brewstravaganza friends! Grateful to play a few pickleball games this afternoon. We haven’t been to Cape May Brewing although have enjoyed a few of their beers previously. 8% is touching the 2IPA line in our opinion. With no beach umbrella and sand, a little too fruity for our liking. The can art is true to the beer taste. Pineapple fans, this beer is for you. Just not our thing, even in the summer...2 mugs.

Well this has been my favorite so far, but many more to go. I loved the taste of the pineapple and loved it was a double IPA. I could sit at a pool, the beach or even here at my house sitting by the fire and drink many of these beers. I give this beer 4 mugs.

After looking at the beer and reading the description I thought I’d love it. Actually ended up too fruity for me but it’s exactly as advertised so overall not a bad beer. 3🍺

My go to beers are fruity or citrusy IPAs. I really enjoyed this and agree with Ken about a poolside beer! Definitely has a great pineapple flavor and the can has a nice summer feel. I give this 4 mugs, cheers

This beer certainly has its own time and situation. With such a fruit sweet forward flavor I did find this enjoyable in small doses. This probably wouldn’t be something I had more than 1 at a time, but that doesn’t take away from it. I would’ve liked the pineapple to accentuate the Sabro hops rather than bury them, but again, I found this situationally enjoyable. 2.5 mugs for me!

Would never guess this is a double! Refreshing and fruity, very drinkable. It’s not as hoppy as I’d like, but I think the vibe of the beer is meant to be more fruity and sweet. 3.5🍺

The pineapple hits hard and I’m ok with that. I love pineapple/mango style IPA’s. It almost tastes like an 8% seltzer. I’ve had a few Cape May beers prior and have enjoyed them all. 4 mugs - cheers!

It’s only appropriate this brewery’s state has beaches! The fresh tropical fruit smell with the crisp appearance as it pours…the taste is smooth and without bite, this is a great summer time beer. A great, drink many beer, if we get this in the summer, I’ll assure you, I’m slamming tables, especially at 8%. Can art is a perfect fit, fresh and summery! 5/5 mugs, I worried a 5 might be to early, but this will be hard to beat!

This is a great summer beer! It is very smooth for a DIPA and has a really good pineapple flavor. I would give this one a 4/5 on the scale. Can art was pretty cool too!

I am going to give this beer a 3.5. I think it was a good beer I could drink multiple off. Reminds me of Tröegs first cut but instead of mango it’s pineapple.

Nothing like a little pineapple with some holiday ham! I enjoyed this pineapple ipa, I’m usually a little hesitant with fruity beers but I didn’t find it overwhelming I thought there was some good balance. 4 mugs from me, easy to drink with abv could be a dangerous poolside beer!

I really enjoyed this beer. It is interesting to see some of the comments on the fruitiness of the beer. I am not a fan of beers that are too fruity, but I thought the pineapple was the perfect balance for this DIPA. Trent compared it to Troegs Second Cut DIPA on our podcast episode out today. Very similar to Chris comparing it to First Cut. The can art was tropical and fitting to the beer. It was a delicious beer to take Christmas in July into December! 4🍺s from me!

Gotta say I was curious to see how the pineapple would taste. It had a pretty good taste overall. Can art was perfect for what it was. I say 3🍺 for me 🍍
