Thank you Brandon for beer #2 of Bearded Baker Brewstravaganza 2024. Pimp My Sleigh (10.5%) is Belgian-style Christmas Ale from Fat Head's Brewery. This beer has a dark chestnut brown color and carries aromas/flavors of sweet dark malt, dark fruit, raisins, figs, and anise (HEY NOW!). The taste is described as a tad sweet with a bit of spice. This 10.5% beer is a great way to start the week off right. Fat Head's Brewery started out as a craft beer restaurant in the South Side of Pittsburgh, PA with fulfilling sandwiches and fall-off-the bone wings. Fast forward 17 years later, the brewery opened in North Olmstead, Ohio. In 2023 Fat Head's Brewery won gold in both the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival. They are recognized as one of the top brewers of American-style IPAs and traditional old-world-style German brews.

I drank it in a purple hat with a feather, it poured thick, I’m not a fan of heavy dark beers, but this came as advertised, a Belgian Christmas Ale! Brandan sucking up to his father in laws favorite brewery ha I kept thinking Christmas as I drank, 2/5 mugs Mad Elf on Steroids.

Wasn't sure I would like it when I started but the more I drank the better it was. I give it a 3.5. Like the art work on the can. Thanks to Tyler for asking me to be part of this year's brewstravaganza. What a great way to try beers you wouldn't think of trying.

Just had this at the fatheads in Pittsburgh over the weekend so safe to say it’s definitely a favorite! Excellent christmas flavor blend that doesn’t take like 10.5% so just gotta count how many you throw down! 5/5 🍺

This definitely tastes like Christmas! I’m a fan of fatheads, it brings fond memories of our times in Pittsburgh! I actually am not a big fan of spicy holiday beers but this was better than mad Elf, less sweet in my opinion. I give it a 2.5 mugs but Love the can and the holiday spirit! Cheers!

I will give this beer 3 mugs. Wasn’t sure cause I am not a fan of dark beers but as I continued to drink it became easier to drink and enjoy. I enjoyed the taste and I would definitely have this one again. The 10.5 is a plus. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s beer.

I certainly appreciate anything Belgian-Style but this was one of the first Belgian Christmas beers I’ve had. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the baking spice notes on the finish. And as a whiskey guy, I love the higher ABV. I give this 3.5 mugs. Cheers!

In a very biased opinion, this is a Mad Elf knock off. I still love the taste. The name and can art is awesome. A few of these and I’d wake up with a fat head. I think this would taste better on tap or out of a bottle. 3.5 mugs - cheers!

Margie – if it is an IPA don’ t pour me much, what is it, ooohhh when learning a Xmas ale. Holy shit 10.5%. Ron says what a nutcracker! Can art is interesting, fire breathing sleigh! Margie - You didn’t rinse out my glass so I smell Griddle. Ron - Chill out woman, have a beer. Taste is spice forward, we get the raisin fig but not the anise. Comparing to other Xmas ales Margie 3.5 mugs, Ron 4 mugs.

We’ve been to Fat Head in Ohio, one of Ron’s favorite breweries.

I would say this is a solid 3.5 mugs. I liked the taste of this and think I could drink more of it. Becca said only good beer comes from Pittsburgh.

I was hesitant with this one but it was better than yesterday’s so it was off to a good start! It has some pretty good taste and the ABV is a plus. I would give this one 3.5 mugs because I do think it has really good flavor! Looking forward to tomorrows!

Pimp My Sleigh gets 3 mugs from me. I was expecting a bit more spice or bite from this 10.5% beer, but it was surprisingly mellow. It was an easy one to drink. I taste a subtle molasses flavor. Can art was need and name of the beer is really cool! Cheers to night #2! 🍻🎄

This beer definitely brings the malts! I appreciate the high ABV. Very boozy, but not as smooth as I’d like. 3 mugs!

3.5 mugs from me! I enjoy a good Belgian style beer as a switch up from usual choice of IPAs. I thought it was a very smooth flavorful beer with a high abv…. Would def enjoy a couple of these while out celebrating the season!

The first two beers have NOT disappointed! I loved this, and I thought it was way smoother and easier to drink than Mad Elf. I’m a fan 🙌🏻

First off love the can art it's perfect for our brewstravaganza. Could definitely taste the variety of dark fruits, and raisins I thought. This very much reminded me of mad elf. It's 2.5🍺 for me. 🎄
