2024--BEER #11: Cranberry Shandy (Rusty Rail Brewing Company)

On the 11th day of advent, Charleen provided thee, a Cranberry Shaaaaaaaaaandy. Thank you Charleen for providing the Cranberry Shandy (4.7%) from Rusty Rail Brewing Company. Cranberry Shandy is a mixture of tart and sweet. It has citrusy smooth cranberry flavor. As we are now a Baker's dozen days away from Christmas Eve, this is the perfect beer to sip, bake, and enjoy those Christmas cookies. Rusty Rail Brewing Company is located in Mifflinburg, PA. The building where the brewery is located has tremendous history dating all the way back to 1850! Rusty Rail officially opened their doors as a brewery in 2013 and dedicate their beers to the hardworking families in the community that they serve.

I was excited to try this one! Smells like a sour (which I love). Tart, but not overpowering. An easy drink. 4🍺

I like a summer shandy, and when I saw this holiday version with a beautiful can, I couldn’t resist. It didn’t disappoint for me I love the slightly tart, light taste, easy to drink! 4🍻 cheers

This is just me and not a knock at anybody, but I cannot drink sour/tart/sweet beers. Had to pass this one along to the lady to finish 😅

Not typically a shandy guy but I didn’t mind this because the tartness of cranberries which replaced the typical hoppy finish I look for in beers! Can art was great I was a little disappointed the beer itself didn’t have any cranberry color for a festive pour! 3 mugs from me!

I do like this one but I was expecting more of a cranberry flavor. I typically like a lot of Rusty Rails Brews so I was looking forward to this one. I’ll give this one 3.5/5 only because I was expecting more of a cranberry flavor.

I love the can art and I really enjoyed this beer. The only thing I wish was it had a higher alcohol content. I could sit all night long drinking this beer.I give this beer 4 mugs.

Not a fan of cranberry’s in general!
I like Rusty Rail Brewery, but I will have to pass on this beer.

Thankful to enjoy a happy hour with friends as Margie and company work on Christmas tree crafts. Nice label - Can art design promotes what to expect in this beer. Where’s the cranberry color? Not a sweet as we expected, slight cranberry finish. Tastes like a dry soda. Do we need to add Cranberry Vodka to this? That said, refreshing beverage. Group average is 3.5 mugs.

What better way to get “sauced” than a Cranberry Shanty during the holidays! The aroma precedes the taste, a distinct cranberry flavor with a sparkling crisp kick of tart flavor! Definitely the can art champion of the advent, 100% the holiday spirit…3/5 mugs!

This beer was a wildcard for me! Nervous as I am not typically a shandy guy, but this beer was delicious! Champagne is the comparison that I could make, I liked that the cranberry was subtle to start but a tad stronger on the finish. 3.5 🍺s from me! Cheers all!

Wasn't sure what I was gonna think about this one but was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed drinking this more than I thought I would. Can art was nice overall I'd say 4🍺.
