2024--BEER #10: The Pine Room (Big timber Brewing Company)

We have hit double digits in the advent! Thank you Gordon for beer #10 of the Brewstravaganza! Big The Pine Room (4.5%) is a lager from Big Timber Brewing Company out of Elkins, West Virginia. The beer is described as a bit dry with a bit of spice and finishes with a slight piney bitterness. It was brewed in collaboration with The Pine Room podcast which is a sports and entertainment podcast hosted by 12 friends. This is the perfect beer for nice crisp night bundled up watching Christmas movies. Big Timber Brewing Company opened their doors in 2014 and is located in Elkins, West Virginia. Surrounded by never-ending forests in the heart of Appalachia is what gives Big Timber its name.

I loved the simplicity of the can art and play on the wood look. The beer was too “simple” for me but I could see this being a go to for someone who appreciates lagers more than I do.

I actually thoroughly enjoyed this beer despite the low ABV. Light and refreshing. Might be one of the better lagers I’ve had! 4🍺

I agree that this one brings a level of simplicity and a bit of nostalgia. This feels like the kind of beer you drink in volume. There’s certainly a place for a pour like that. Cheers! 2/5 mugs

This was a good lager! It was easy to drink and a nice light beer! I really loved how the can was decorated like pine. I give this 3🍻 cheers!

A nice crisp lager with good flavor. I enjoy a lager that has more of a dry finish like this one rather than the sometimes sweet finishing lagers. An easy drinker for sure 3 mugs from me! Cheers!

I like this lager. I’d bring a 12 pack of this to a tailgate or a long day drinking party for sure. Big fan of the can art too. 3.5 mugs!

Very easy lager to drink with a good amount of flavor. I wish the ABV was a little higher but overall pretty good. I would give this one 3.5/5 mugs!

We’re thankful today for mother nature – as the slogan states, “mother nature is not your mother, pick up after yourself and recycle.” We like the can art woodsy vibe that matches the name of the beer. Light bready lager smell on the nose, we taste the dryness and the slight pine bitter finish. Solid beer 3.5 mugs.

I’m not usually a big lager fan, but wow, this went down very easy! Low APV but as fast as I drank it, the cold good flavor taste was pleasant! Good can art for this one, the can art screamed IPA, but the beer didn’t disappoint as a lager! 3/5

Very nice and smooth tasting beer. Do wish it had a stronger ABV but don’t need them all to be strong. As was stated in the description I watched a Charlie browns Christmas and little drummer boy drinking this beer. Wished I had more cause I was done at beginning of little drummer boy. I would give it 4 mugs. Cheers everyone.

As a lager guy I very much enjoyed this. Simple, good taste, smooth. 4🍺 for me. Can art though simple was spot on really enjoyed it.

Light and crisp beer. I thought it was smooth, although I wanted more of a flavorful finish based on the description. Easy to drink and a really cool can! 3🍺s from me! Cheers!
