2023--BEER #16: Fir Tree (The Drowned Lands Brewery)

Merry Christmas Eve to all! Thank you Trey for this hazy Christmas Eve treat. Fir Tree (8.2% ABV) is a Wintry Hazy Double IPA from The Drowned Lands Brewery in Warwick, New York. This Double IPA is brewed with Mosaic and Meridian hops and fermented in house IPA yeast. It lends itself to bitter citrusy flavors of pine. It is a delicious treat to celebrate the day before the birth of Jesus with family and friends. Drowned Lands Brewery opened in 2020 at a former prison site. It is operated by 14 employees for the 15,000 foot brewery.

We're thankful for this group and the various beers in the 2023 Brewstravaganza. Can art is nice, Margie likes the trees and water hence it must be flat grounds up there in NY she said. Ron appreciates the duotone color and hieroglyph like design. Very hazy on pour, Ron is tasting more pine than juice. Margie tastes juice up from and heavy pine finish. Margie is meh, Ron is love it. Merry Christmas all and ready for 2024 New Year’s Extravaganza!

Merry Christmas Eve!! Ending (almost) the brewstravaganza on a strong note, this is my favorite beer so far! Pine and citrus are my favorite two flavors in an IPA, and the haziness just makes it that much better. I taste both the zing of the citrus and the bite of the pine which I love is most prominent. I also loved the fun facts about the brewery, those 14 employees can make a great beer. This one gets a 4.7 from me. Cheers!

A wonderful beer for my favorite day, Christmas Eve!! Such a juicy IPA with a perfect amount of pine! The can is simple but fitting for this festive beer! I would partake in many of these at this brewery! 4.8 mugs from me!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! This was a great beer to end the extravaganza! I enjoyed this beer while spending a wonderful Christmas Eve with family! I loved the seasonal can and loved the beer! Thank you Tyler for all your great work to make this so enjoyable !❤️Great beers everyone, cheers🍻

Sorry for late response on this one, been drinking a lot the last couple of days. I like the can art goes well with the season. I love the 8.2 % of this beer. It was very tasty. Would definitely have these at a bar. I would give a 4.1 bearded mugs out of 5.
